Granted. Like I said I know the point you were trying to make, which I don't disagree with, but it irks me when arguments get embellished in such a manner.
That was a different generation. My generation has always been sceptical with extreme nationalism, including the United States with their flag-waving ways.If anything, it's a West German vs. East German (Wessi vs Ossi) schism that still exists today, 20 years after the Wall came down. West Germans are seen by the East Germans to be arrogant, greedy pigs who care about nothing but how much money they can make. East Germans are seen by West Germans as lazy, ungrateful slobs who don't thank us enough for the fact we paid hundreds of billions to get them new roads, railways, telecommunications networks, and the like.As a West German I just think the Easties need more of a pick-up-and-go attitude. If the town you live in has no jobs, pack up the car and piss off. That's what anyone in the states would do, instead of bleating about "the government to do something". That's exactly what they do, they lived for decades with socialism, and that's the way people still think today. It will take a few generations for this to fade into oblivion. We call in "the Wall in the heads", and it's invisible, but very resilient to change.

I like fiction movies.?
Didn't think I would skip through the trailer. I love the Living Dead movies, but this just didn't capture my attention. |

I'm 33. Radio Shack has always been a place for expensive crap. I drooled over the catalogs, thinking of all the nice things I'd like to get "some day", but the prices were always insane. I could pick up any ad from the sunday paper from any other store and find it 50% less. Today I actually feel guilty for drooling over the Realistic brand name.Part of my first pay check from my first job went to Radio Shack. I had a project I wanted to build and didn't know where else to get the parts. I knew I was paying too much, but I didn't know where else to go. Where else does a 16 year old wanna-be electrical engineer get his fix? My kids will go to Fry's.

@daviz0 -- I watched a few scenes from different season 1 episodes of Heroes earlier today and was amazed at how great even those small scenes were. (And so much better than what Heroes is now.) It made me sad about all the lost potential. :-(

No, not at all. Free speech is kind of something your born with, as it requires outside entities (I.E., Government, which anarchy opposes) to violate it.It makes perfect sense.

Maybe because it is most profitable to incarcerate as many people as possible? This should be blatantly obvious. |
