All app devs do.. because this "self promotion" could have been the cause of apple reversing its decision and approving the app.(or it could be the work of an incompetent approval personnel who was following everything to the letter, then someone else saw it and corrected it)I know it's all an assumption here, but this proves that apple doesn't have any consistencies. Which not only hurts developers, but also customers who somehow can't get an update to their favorite app because of such inconsistencies.
Well technically they are trying to get their country "back" from US control, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the Taliban represents the interests of the Afghani people. Neither Taliban nor USA represents Afghanistan, but I suppose more of the natives feel comfortable with Taliban rather than USA because, you know, they're actually from the same part of the world (imagine that!).

I think it's great Apple is trying to make a move forward and keep shows profitable. I do not subscribe to cable anymore, I download straight into my media center and honestly feel a bit guilty because i am contributing nothing to keeping the show on the air. I use ITunes to buy the music I like and would like to do the same for my TV programs. This is a good move I think and sure it may fail or not. At least someone is trying. I would rather have a way to give back to the creators of the shows without the forced advertising and adherence to some networks schedules. This way the good shows would be voted upon by the people who actually pay for and watch them. Not clever statistics and graphs from a network.If this was already in play shows like Firefly would have never disappeared. I would pay to keep quality programming on the air.
