There were extremely high personal rewards for high risk decisions and very low person penalties relative to that for those decisions blowing up.That is why the rewards were capped for bankers recently. Banks, well certain types of banks, were being turned into private casinos betting somebody else's money. Putting safe limits on things basically makes sense.There are probably very good, wise, prudent, sharp bankers out there. But if you promote people based on a lucky break then you will always be promoting people but based on luck not wise decisions.The flood of practically zero interest rate loans of government money to banks during previous 8 years and perhaps now too would tend to encourage more gambling in the banking sector. Especially, if all the safe investments were done already. In order to grow profits, the less safe investments would have to be pursued or invented.So basically, the luckiest big risk takers get promoted to the top and then at the top they roll the dice again and not so lucky. Oh.... oh, well.I think the problems in the banking system were due more to fundamentals in rules and conditions under which they operated, not the gender of people working within those rules.By the way, the banking failures have led to higher fees charged to banks for guaranteeing deposits and that in turn is cutting into profitability or in some cases making a barely profitable bank non profitable. So, the conditions under which banks operate are harder now than before. So they have to do better than before to be as well off.?

That's kind of misleading. They took an individual browser version (IE6) and compared it against all versions of another (FF).It's funny though how IE7 usage is lower than IE6 now. Hopefully with Windows 7 people will start upgrading their systems!
